Everything we have done so far has cost money. Money which drivers from the Miami Rideshare Union group have donated. Many of us spend days and hours doing unpaid work. We do it for the common good, for the need for imminent change. We don't stop to think about personal benefits.
This time we are calling on all drivers to collaborate to fulfill this project. We know that the economic situation of many is being affected, but if we do not do something, this situation will worsen. No one will suffer economic or personal harm for contributing at least $5 USD. Together we can achieve it and this app can change the game between Uber, Lyft, and drivers.
The StrikeOn mobile app is a communication, lobbying, information tool that can unite hundreds of thousands of drivers across the US by state. Communication between drivers is important, more so at the state level. Allowing StrikeOn to reach hundreds of thousands of drivers across the country gives us all the power to fight back against abuse and exploitation by rideshare companies.
This tool has the same power as any union or more. It is crucial to know that unions for independent workers are not legal. That's why we need something like StrikeOn.
